the malta chamber of sme’s

there for businesses

The Malta Chamber of SMEs, formerly known as GRTU, is Malta’s biggest business representative body, with over 7,000 members organisations. We were entrusted with revamping the brand from scratch, including its name, in order to prepare such a historic, well-known organisation for now and the future. For the past 2 years, we have been working extremely closely with the SME Chamber, guiding them towards a holistic and effective communication and marketing strategy.

rehashing a historic local organisation through a new visual identity and a holistic, multi-level marketing strategy.

Part of a wider exercise focusing on communicating social dialogue on a national basis, the complete rebrand of what was known as GRTU needed special attention to move forward towards new horizons, while keeping true to the decades of heritage the organisation brings with it.

Our creative team immediately embarked on this task, giving life to a mix of symbology known in business representation with modern typography and a vibrant colour pallette that immediately exudes trust and competence.

Launching the brand on a public national scale meant preparing a multi-level awareness and brand activation campaign which spanned for a number of months, utilising a mix of digital media, TV appearances, interviews, articles, radio and video productions.

This project coincided exactly with the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, and our team had to adapt strategies and improvise, in order to support the organisation at such at a historic point. Being one of Malta’s foremost business representatives, working closely with the SME Chamber during the pandemic, enabled us to understand even deeper the underlying issues that many businesses were facing, and thus be able to adapt our services accordingly.

The role of the organisation during these months continued being even more relevant, and the timing of this new visual and organisational identity took a completely new dimension. Today we continue helping the Malta Chamber of SMEs with various marketing needs and support their operation through a continuous communication and feedback process in order to ensure that their voice is heard throughout the digital media spectrum and beyond.
